Ginny Lucena

Ginny, an electrical engineer, brings to the team over 20 years of experience in the sport.

  • 2001 - head coach at Genie's Gymnastics.

  • 1999-2000 - coached team girls at Atlantic Coast in   Wellington, FL. Also in charge of the dance curriculum.

  • 1992-1995 - developed a gymnastics program for kids at the   University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. As a head coach and choreographer   prepared girls to compete at national meets.

  • 1986-1989 - choreographer of the Escuela de Gimnasia's team at Cupey, Puerto Rico.

  • 1984-1989 - coached begineers classes at Escuela de Gimnasia   in Cupey, PR.

  • 1987 - choreographed the closing act for the Junior Pan  American Games held in Ponce, PR.

  • 1986 - choreographed the closing act for Copa PR meet   (international meet).

  • 1982-1986 - member of the Puerto Rican National Team.   Competed internationally in Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, USA among  others.

  • 1979 - got enrolled in gymnastics after falling in love with   the sport at the Pan American Games held in PR

Mari Lucena

Mari, an mechanical & materials engineer, brings to the team over 20 years of experience in the sport.

  • 2001 - head coach at Genie's Gymnastics. In charge of the preschool program and TOPS.

  • 1997-2001 - coached team girls at Flip City in   Lake Worth, FL.

  • 1992-1995 - developed a gymnastics program for kids at the   University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. As a head coach prepared girls to compete at national meets.

  • 1987-1991 - coach developing classes at Escuela de Gimnasia in Guaynabo, PR.

  • 1980-1989 - got enrolled in gymnastics. Competed in national meets in PR as well as internationally in Dominican Republic, Guatemala and U.S. Virgin Islands

Jana Bieger

Jana Lyn Bieger (born November 12, 1989 in Kiel, West Germany) is an American former gymnast of German descent. She was raised in the U.S. and is a citizen, and competed only for the U.S. At the 2006 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, she won three silver medals. Bieger was an alternate on the 2008 Olympic team.
